Thomas Cook Refund Scam Alert

It never ceases to amaze how quickly fraudsters will turn others misfortune to their benefit. The latest example is that fraudsters are using the misery of hundreds of thousands of us who have booked a holiday with Thomas Cook claiming to be organizing refunds, they are just trying to steal bank account details. The phrase they use on the calls is “Thomas Cook Refund Agents” and “all” they ask for is either card details used to pay for the holiday or the bank account number, some are even asking for an upfront fee. We expect other fraudsters to launch text and email campaigns to similarly trick victims into handing over personal details.
